Sharon joins The Lichter Group team with an extensive background in project management, technology implementation, and financial operations. She was previously the Director of Risk and Project Management with American Express Tax and Business Services Inc. (AETBS) in their MidAtlantic region. In that role she was responsible for minimizing risk in all areas of compliance. She was also the senior leader responsible for all region-wide project assignments including managing process improvement teams and implementing their recommendations.

Sharon was formerly the Regional Director of Technology of the Baltimore/Washington Office of AETBS. Some of her responsibilities included strategic planning for future technology needs, implementing technology training for all personnel, development of the region’s intranet site, senior leader to the region’s technology staff, and communicating with other AETBS offices regarding best practices related to technology. Prior to their acquisition by American Express, Sharon was a Tax Manager and the internal CFO with Walpert, Smullian & Blumenthal, P.A.

Sharon began her career with Price Waterhouse (currently PWC) in their audit group after graduating with a BSBA degree from the University of Denver. She is a certified public accountant in the state of Maryland and is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Maryland Association of CPA’s.
